Miss La Crescent Scholarship Program
*How do I qualify to enter?*
To be eligible to run for the Miss La Crescent pageant, single young ladies
must be entering their senior year at La Crescent High School, or be a
resident of District #300 and attending high school at a local private
institution. All eligible, interested candidates AND A PARENT are
encouraged to attend the informational meeting to be held, Thursday
June 10th at 6:00 PM in the La Crescent Community Center by the fire
department to receive additional information and registration materials. ALL
REGISTRATION MATERIALS ARE DUE BY 6:00 PM ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 7th, 2010 to

*What will I win?*
Should you be selected to be on the Royal Applefest Court, you will receive
the following:
- Each member of the Royal Court will be provided with a
gown and crown to be worn at parades and other Applefest functions
throughout the year.
- Scholarships are awarded after the royalty commitment is completed
during the Annual Meeting the following January in these amounts:
2nd Princess: $750.00
1st Princess: $750.00
Miss La Crescent: $1250.00
*What is expected of me if I am selected to be on the Royal Court?*
As a member of the Royal Court, you will be required to attend approximately
20 Applefest related functions during the year. At some of these functions,
you may be asked to speak, not only about yourself, but about La Crescent
and the apple industry which you represent. Each member of the Royal Court
is required to sign the Apple Festival Royalty Commitment Form and agrees in
advance to be on her best behavior at all times.
