This event takes place immediately after Kiddie Parade and Big Wheel Races. Stick around after the parades to have your kids partake in the Pedal Tractor Pull. Age 4 and up is eligible. The top two finishers can move onto the State Competition. This is a sanctioned pull. It is a lot of fun put on by Rick Scholbrock and family from Iowa. The President's Reception is hosted by the current Apple Festival Inc. President. The President along with the Applefest Board of Directors cordially invite you to enjoy food, drinks, and fellowship with other Visiting Royalty and Ambassadors, local Apple Growers, Applefest royalty, Applefest sponsors, and La Crescent dignitaries and community members. The President's Reception is held on the Saturday of Applefest weekend, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Commodore Restaurant, 215 South Chestnut Street, La Crescent. |

| The current Miss La Crescent and her court cordially invite you to the Applefest Coronation. This event is a highlight of the Applefest weekend with entertainment by the Apple Annie, the announcement of visiting royalty and other local dignitaries. This leads up to the announcement of the Man and Woman of the Year and the new Miss La Crescent and her court. The Coronation is at 7 PM on the Saturday evening of Applefest weekend and is held at the La Crescent High School Auditorium, 1301 Lancer Boulevard, La Crescent. |
