The La Crescent Apple Festival Board of Directors cordially invites you to participate in our Annual King Apple Parade. Each year, the King Apple parade is held on the Sunday of Applefest at 1:00 PM in La Crescent, MN.

Floats will be judged in the following categories: Civic, Commercial, Youth, and Royalty. Please indicate the one category that most closely identifies your entry. Also, indicate if you are a musical or non-musical float, and the size of your float, as this will help us in staging your unit in the parade line up.

As always there will be no charge for non-business/non-political units. There is a $65 fee per business units and for any type of political unit (walking, vehicle, float, etc.). This non-refundable fee must be received prior to the deadline or your entry will not be processed.

La Crescent Apple Festival requires a certificate of insurance from all motorized parade vehicles. Please attach your certificate of insurance or have it sent to my attention.

The La Crescent Senior and Middle School Bands will be marching in exhibition, and invite your band to perform in our parade as well. Marching units will be judged during the parade. Please review the new classification rules. 

Equestrian awards will be awarded as a general group. Each equestrian unit MUST provide its own clean up at the staging area and throughout the parade.

Please submit your registration form and payment by August 1. Information regarding the staging area, line up numbers, judging and place of awards presentation will be posted on this website’s Parade News – Blog page around the first week of September.

  • Please enter a name that will be used in the lineup, and parade mailing.
  • Please attempt to use an address that will reach your organization regardless of personnel changes.
  • Please attempt to use a phone number that will reach your organization regardless of personnel changes.
  • Email will only be used save postage on Applefest parade correspondence. Please attempt to use an email that will reach your organization regardless of personnel changes.
  • Please enter a short description of your unit that will help with distance calculations. (e.g. walking unit, car, truck and trailer, semi tractor and trailor)
  • Provide copy as you would like it heard on the air by our TV Broadcasters.
