As we prepare for the 71st Annual La Crescent Apple Festival, we remember the friendships that we have developed over the years, as well as look forward to meeting future friends. It is in this spirit that we cordially invite you to attend our 2019 festival, taking place September 19th-22nd, in La Crescent, Minnesota. Dignitary events for the weekend include:
Tour of Local Winery/Brewery
Kick off your Applefest weekend with a private tour of a local winery/brewery.
Relax on the Mississippi River with food and merriment.
President Shannon Stremcha invites you to join her on Saturday, September 21st at the La Crescent Area Event Center at 4 pm. This is a great way to for all visiting dignitaries and royalty to gather for fellowship, food and drinks before coronation.
Miss La Crescent Coronation
At 6:30 pm, coronation will begin at the La Crescent Area Event Center. You and your court will be announced on stage, along with other local dignitaries. The crowing of the 2019 Miss La Crescent and her court will complete the coronation program.
Miss La Crescent Queen’s Tea
On Sunday, September 22nd, 2019 Miss La Crescent, Kori, and her court: Paige, Kaylee and Harley, along with their families, invite you to congratulate and visit with the 2019 Applefest Royal Court. The Queen’s Tea is held at the Church of the Crucifixion School, 407 South 2nd Street, La Crescent, Minnesota from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm. Food, drink and merriment will be provided. A group picture will be taken at approximately 11:30 am.
King Apple Parade
Following the Queen’s Tea is the 71st annual Applefest King Apple Grande Parade. Immediately following the parade, join the Board of Directors at the King Apple Tent and enjoy a performance from our Ambassador’s of Song: the Apple Annies! This is a perfect way to end a great weekend celebrating good times with great friends.
